Shelia: My deepest condolences to you and your family during this time of great sorrow. It saddened me to learn of Don's sudden passing... another of our class gone but never forgotten. He was simply a good guy. Don could throw a ball hard and fast. He was such a good ballplayer, and a valued memeber of Lee's ball team throughout his high school days. I got pelted in the student parking lot by one of his snowballs our senior year... good aim. He will be missed by all who knew him. If you need anything, let me know.

Hopper Family,

My heart broke into pieces earlier this week when I learned of the sudden, unexpected death of Don, and I cannot imagine the depth of your sorrow. I wish I had words to comfort and sustain you in your grief, but I know there are none that will take away any pain you all are feeling now. My heart aches for all of you. Although words seem useless now in the midst of your sorrow, they are all I have to give you. Please accept these written words as warm hugs to wrap yourself in, and know that I am holding all of you in my heart at this sad and difficult time. Don was a wonderful, amazing and kind man. I have so many memories of him growing up. We will all miss him so much.

With all my love,
