Donald F. Mills, age 80, passed on September 6, 2013 at his home in Phoenix. He was born on June 30, 1933 in Boston, MA.
He served in the USAF and then retired after a career as a Fire Fighter Engineer. His memorial service with Honors from the Military and the Fire Fighters will be on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the All Saint's Espicopal Church 6300 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix. His funeral care was entrusted to Advantage Maryvale Mortuary.

Hey Dad, just wanted to let you know how much I missed you. I sure would like to hear you say and furthermore. You would be so proud of Donald, He is holding up very well. Today he had some of the firefighters to the house, he was showing the pictures and telling the stories pretty much word for word as you had so many times. He has some really good friends there that are going to help be strong. You will be always in our heart, and thoughts. Love you

Don was an absolute inspiration for many of us on the Phoenix Fire Department. I was priviledged to work with Don for too short of a time.
The world was richer with Don in it....
And it is all the poorer with him gone.
