Bloomingdale – Effingham County Donald "Don" Richard Warren, 65, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc. Don was born in Massachusetts and had lived many years in Maine before moving to Savannah 20 years ago. He was a painter and a member of the Sycamore Church. Don loved his church and reading God's word and was a fan of the New England Patriots. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis George. Donald "Don" Richard Warren, 65, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc.

Don was born in Massachusetts and had lived many years in Maine before moving to Savannah 20 years ago. He was a painter and a member of the Sycamore Church. Don loved his church and reading God's word and was a fan of the New England Patriots.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis George.

Survivors include his wife of 6 years, Martha Warren; a sister, Louise Major Danner (George); several step-children, other family and friends.

A gathering for family & friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. with a service to celebrate Don's life beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at The Sycamore Church, 1914 East 52nd Street, Savannah, GA 31404.

The family asks that donations be made to The Sycamore Church, 2031 Grove Point Road, Savannah, GA 31419 or Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
