Donna Akright, age 82, of Mesa, AZ (Formerly of La Crosse) pased away on May 20, 2011. She was born May 3, 1929 to Walter and Leora [Brockman] Schmeckpeper of La Crosse. She married William "Bill" Akright in 1947. She was employed at Spence McCord Drug Company for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years and her precios son, Kurt and one sister, Diane Akright of Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Armenta of Mesa, AZ and Julie Mattei (John) of Pearce, AZ. Also, her sisters, Karen Williams and Ann (Leo) Chocholous of Mesa, AZ and her grandchildren, Rochelle (Peaslee) Sullivan, Zane Peaslee, Beau Becker and Jessica (Chet) Wold. Four great-grandchildren, Reilly and Brock Sullivan and Anna and Travis Wold. Also, many loving nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 East Broadway Road, Mesa, AZ 85206. A memorial service will be held at English Lutheran Church in La Crosse, WI on July 30th at 11:00 am. Arrangements entrusted to Mariposa Gardens (480) 830-4422

Dear Akright Family:
It is with a great sense of loss and memories when we learned of Mrs. Akright's death. We wanted to let you know that you have our greatest sympathy, and our hearts are truly saddened.
