BACK, DONNA ROCK Age 64, was born in Birmingham, AL, and died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara Canfield and Donald Rock, and is survived by her brother, Jim Rock (Karen), of Wheeling, WV; niece, Courtney Rock, of Parachute, Colorado; nephew, Garrett Rock of Chicago, Illinois; and loving cousins and friends. Donna graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School and attended the University of Montevallo. She worked as a home mortgage underwriter in Florida and more recently in Charlotte, NC. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Visitation will be at Johns-Ridout's Southside Funeral Parlor from 1 pm to 3 pm Sunday, March 11, 2012, followed by graveside services at 3:30 pm at Elmwood Cemetery.

Donna and I traveled the road of acadamia together from Blessed Sacrament to John Carroll both as classmates and friends. She brought many a laugh in our friendship.
