Funeral Services for Doris M. Owens 92, from Alexandria, will be Tuesday, 1pm at Gray Brown Service with Rev. Thomas L. Hammons Jr. officiating. Visitation will follow after the chapel service. Miss Owens passed away peacefully on March 10th 2017 in Tuscaloosa, AL. Miss Owens is survived by her sister-in-law, Sarah S. Owens; nephew Charles Edward Owens Jr. (Donna); nieces, Cathy Wooldridge (Bobby), Susan Delashaw (Mark), Debbie Peake (Erwin), and numerous great-nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her father, David Porter Owens; mother, Colleen Norred Owens; brother, Charles E. Owens Sr., and sister, Frances W. Owens. Pallbearers will be great nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Thrash and Shane Boone. Miss Owens was a valued employee and branch manager of Southtrust Bank in Anniston, AL where she retired after 40 years of service. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
