Doris Reaser Vaughn, 77, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016, at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC. She was born December 29, 1938, in Organ Cave, West Virginia, to Clyde and Della Reaser. She married James R. Vaughn on September 9, 2008, and he survives.
Also surviving are her son Bill Morton of Black Mountain, NC; granddaughters Amanda Leigh Morton, Sarah and husband Kylan Ertzberger, Sydney Ammons and Sophie Morton; sister Jean and husband Dan Donovan; brother Bob Reaser; niece Martha and husband Gary Pope; and nephews Mike and wife Carolyn Marshall, Robbie Reaser, John Reaser, and Steve Reaser.
Sister, Fran Marshall, and brother, Jim Reaser, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Vaughn's last position was an assessor-auditor with Anderson County, SC. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking (she was the best!), Ancestry.com, photography, and the Clemson Tigers.
The Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, at Covenant United Methodist Church in Greer, with the visitation one hour prior. Assistant Pastor Linda Guthrie will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Covenant United Methodist, 1310 Old Spartanburg Road, Greer, SC 29650.

So sorry to hear this. I will miss her always sitting behind me in church on Sunday mornings. I am keeping James and her family in my prayers. So very sorry.
