Doris Pollet Alleman, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Plaquemine Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was a native and resident of White Castle.
She is survived by her son Dennis Alleman and wife Brenda Gros Alleman; granddaughter Amanda Alleman; grandson Jonathon Alleman; great-grandson Caleb Alleman; sister Ida Mae Hurry; sister-in-law Ida Pollet and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her husband Jessie Alleman; son Jessie Alleman Jr.; parents Paul and Lucille Pollet; brother Morris "Joe" Pollet; sister Aurlie Donaurd; two brothers-in-law Earl Donaurd and James Hurry.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Officiated by Rev. Joey Angeles. Burial will follow in White Castle Cemetery.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Plaquemine Manor Nursing Home and Comfort Care Hospice for the care giving to Doris during her illness.
