Doris E. Koehlinger, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 at New Haven Care and Rehabilitation. She was born October 11, 1933 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Rudolph A. and Flora K. (Ward) Kirkpatrick. She worked for 17 years as a seamstress at Top Hat Dry Cleaners. She is survived by her sons, Myron (Beth) Davis of Greenwood, IN and Irvin (Ginny) Koehlinger of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; four brothers; and one sister. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death was her husband, Wayne C. Koehlinger in 1997; son, Dale Davis; daughter, Darlene Davis; three brothers; and one sister. Funeral service is Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Visitation is Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. IN lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Haven Care and Rehabilitation.

My condolences Myron and Irv. I just learned of her passing this afternoon.

The two things I'll remember about your mother was the way she was able to go on with life after some very hard times and her sense of humor.
