Bobbie and Kas--No greater, more loving wife, mom, sister and aunt has ever passed through Heaven's Gate. Doris was a role model to all of us. I know that I am closer to my own siblings because of the awesome relationship shared between our moms. And I know how close the two of you are as sisters, like Doris and Jean, they will say. I am so happy to know how blessed you all were to be able to be together. Doris and Bob are reunited in Paradise, an eternal summertime sail on the Sassafras. No more doctors and hospitals. Sign me up. In the meantime, so many memories to cherish. I love all my family. I am in California, but my heart is in Florida with you and in Virginia with my mom, who really wishes she was with you and looks forward to seeing her big sister again. I am so glad I got to talk with Doris just before Christmas. Despite her frailty, her mind remained intact, and she still mailed me her last earthly Christmas and birthday card. I expect to get a Christmas and birthday card from her in heaven for the rest of my life. What an Incredible Aunt.

Barb and family,
I was so very sorry to learn of your Mom/Grandmom's passing.
I've spent the Vermont winter wrapped in the lovely afghan Doris made for me! We'd only met once or twice when I learned she'd spent time making me this lovely gift ! I felt so very honored.
What a special lady!
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.
