Dorothy Lopez age 93 of Arlington, TX passed away on June 15, 2017. She married Lambert Lopez on April 30, 1946, he preceded her in death on March 22, 1988. She is survived by one sister Gloria and husband Gene; her children: William Daw, Lambert Lopez and wife Yvette, daughter Dolly Gilcrease and husband Mike and daughter Judy McFadin; grandchildren, Jennifer Blakeney, Andy Huff, William Daw Jr., Robert Daw, Crystal Steadman, Regina Coldiron, Jared Lopez and wife Windy, Matthew Lopez, Remi Lopez, Michele Tokash, Mary Pollack, Milchael, Mark, Matthew and Marty Gilcrease, Cody and Jason McFadin. She helped raise Raschelle Richey considered by all a granddaughter; 24 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her mother Dolly (Sandoval) Gentry and father Rolie Crisp and step father Mervin Gentry, brothers Newel and Redden Crisp, Orlando and Leo Sandoval, Daniel Gentry and sister Betz Ensign. Dorothy was very close to all of her family all of her 93 years. Dorothy loved all kids and that love was returned. She helped raise many and continued doing so right up to her illness which was diagnosed in September. The family moved from New Mexico to Arlington,Texas in the late sixties where she worked at Hickory Farms. Mostly she kept her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to dance and was still dancing 3 times a week right up to when she became ill. She had many nieces and nephews and she loved them all. Kids of all ages were drawn to her and she gave each one her love. She answered to Mom, Gram, Aunt Dot, Auntie. She loved to cook and made the best tortillas, enchiladas, beans and green chile, all with a New Mexico flair. She will be missed by all of her family, her many neighbors, and all of her Senior Center family. "Godspeed", Dorothy Marie Lopez. She loved to travel and went to Hawaii, Mexico, on cruises and loved visiting family in Arizona, California, Utah, and New Mexico. She was Catholic and had a personal relationship with Christ. Timothy 4:7-8 defines Dorothy - I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm, June 18, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home.

Rosary will begin at 10:30am, June 19, 2017 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas.

Mass will be at 11:00am, June 19, 2017 following the rosary, also at the church.

Burial will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.

A reception will follow the interment at the Knights of Columbus Hall., 2625 S. Cooper St., Arlington, TX 76015.
