Dorothy May (McVey) Warren, we will always possess His peace and grace in spite of what happens. A life lived within God's Will is a life of confident hope and unending joy (2 Timothy 4:6-8). Age 97, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Middleton Assisted Living. She was born on September 12, 1919 in Lancaster, OH, a daughter to the late Alvin and Myrtle (Beery) McVey. Dorothy had various hobbies and interests. She enjoyed flower arranging, china painting, cake decorating and making greeting cards. She enjoyed a long and full life with family. Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Margaret Potter, Vivian (Walt) Dodson, Lynnette (Ken) Stump, David (Joni), Bob (Pat) and Lila (Dan) Cornwell; sister, Betty Jean Pribich; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Adrian; infant son, Floyd; son-in-law, Mark Ashbrook and siblings, Earl, Robert and Ralph. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Alexandria Baptist Church, 94 W. Main St., Alexandria, OH 43001 with Pastor Brian Potts officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dorothy's caregiver, Helen Bolo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alexandria Baptist Church in Dorothy's memory.

Dorothy was such a dear lady and certainly put up with all of us "Alex kids" trouncing in and out of her neatly kept house back in our school days. I'll always remember her wanting to feed us all and we took her up on it many times. Ed came to know her through several remodeling projects; he had a high opinion of her also and always commented that she was such a nice person and how much he enjoyed talking to her. God bless her and may you all be comforted in coming days by warm memories...
