Dorothy R. Amsden, 75, died January 24 at her home in Memphis, Tennessee. "Nana" was a much loved wife, mother, sister, friend and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and her church, Jackson Avenue United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 26 from 6PM – 8PM at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue. A memorial service will be Wednesday, January 27 at 2PM at Jackson Avenue United Methodist Church. Amsden of St. Petersburg, FL; and Ellen Fitzgerald (David) of Memphis; eleven grandchildren Scott Amsden; Robbie, John & Jeff Sturdivant; C. J. Withrow; Michele Peterson; Catie Amsden; Ben & Kayla Amsden; Jacob & Melissa Fitzgerald; two great-grandsons Kaiden & Linken Amsden. She was preceded by her parents, Hattie and Walter Raggett and siblings, Frank and George Raggett, Margaret Black, and John and Jim Raggett. She is also survived by her siblings, Ina Robinson, Edna King, and Dewey Raggett.
