Dorothy Anderson, resident of Paramus, NJ, died peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2012, at the age of 67. She was born on February 11, 1945, in Manhattan, NY, to William and Marian Lillis. Dorothy worked for over 30 years as a registered pediatric intensive care nurse, with her last employment at Westchester County Medical Center and raised her children in Valley Cottage, NY. Dorothy was a dedicated nurse and she will be remembered as a devoted mother to her two children Jean Marie and Edward.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Robert Edward Anderson, who passed away on April 27, 1988. She is also predeceased by her parents, William and Marian Lillis. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Marie Anderson; son, Edward Anderson; daughter-in-law, Gabriella; sister, Kathleen Molinaro; brother-in-law, Michael Molinaro; nieces, Lisa Duff and Jennifer Molinaro; as well as cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 113 Lake Road East, Congers, NY 10920. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 10am at St. Paul's Church, 82 Lake Road West, Congers, NY.
