Obituary

Dorothy J. Bish, 89, of DuBois, passed away Wednesday, October 02, 2013 at Allegheny General Hospital. She was born on August 30, 1924 the daughter of the late Earl and Maisy (Harmon) Brocious. On July 6, 1943, she married Robert F. Bish. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. She was employed by Penn Traffic and JC Penney. Dorothy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband. She loved being with her family and will be greatly missed. Dorothy J. Bish, 89, of DuBois, passed away Wednesday, October 02, 2013 at Allegheny General Hospital.

She was born on August 30, 1924 the daughter of the late Earl and Maisy (Harmon) Brocious. On July 6, 1943, she married Robert F. Bish. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

She was employed by Penn Traffic and JC Penney. Dorothy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband. She loved being with her family and will be greatly missed. She also enjoyed reading, baking and gardening.

Dorothy is survived by her three children: Patty A. Hewitt of Dubois, Robert W. and his wife Ruth, of DuBois and Richard W. and his wife Jodie of DuBois; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; also survived by a brother Carmon Brocious of DuBois and a sister, JoAnn Howell of Canton, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. with Pastor Melissa Kraus officiating. Burial will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park.

Friends will be received from 3:00-5:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm on Thursday, October 3, at the Mohney Yargar Funeral Chapel, Inc. an addtionial hour of viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00am until the hour of service.
