Dorothy M. Bittikofer (96) of Bowling Green, died Tuesday, October 04, 2011 at 2:08 P.M. at Woodhaven Healthcare, Bowling Green. She was born October 1, 1915 in Attica to the late Carl M. and Estella O. (Marquart) Shoup. Mrs. Bittikofer was married October 1, 1938 to Lee Bittikofer who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bittikofer was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bucyrus and the DAR. She was employed as a seamstress at the Vasil Company in Bucyrus and enjoyed sewing, making afghan's and doing bead crafts.
Mrs. Bittikofer is survived by one son: Larry L. (Pat) Bittikofer of Plymouth, daughter: Iola M. (Dick) Coulter of Cygnet, OH, 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandsons, and a sister: Ruth Kurtz of Powell, Oh. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother: Donald Shoup.
Friends may call Friday, October 7, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica with the Rev. James Barkenquast officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, Bucyrus. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Woodhaven Healthcare through the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.lindseykocher.com.
