Obituary

Dorothy Ann Plummer Carr, age 61, was born on January 12, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA. She passed away peacefully on October 29, 2010 at her home after a courageous battle with primary biliary cirrhosis. Her mom, son and daughter were by her side. Today, we are celebrating the life of a beautiful daughter; kind, thoughtful, loving and devoted mom. Today, we are celebrating the life of a beautiful daughter; kind, thoughtful, loving and devoted mom. Dotte, an only child of Charles and Dot Plummer, grew up outside of Philadelphia where she attended Brandywine Junior College. In 1971 she married her husband Larry and moved to San Francisco shortly after. She worked as a dental hygienist, and as an Allstate insurance agent until she decided to stay at home and raise her 2 children. She had a love for animals and it showed in the love she had for Shanny, her beloved Irish Setter. She would never break a promise, and was a loyal person. She was considerate to others and would help anyone. She was an honest and sincere woman with a heart of gold. She had a wonderful heart and smile that could brighten up a room. She brought joy to the lives of the people she touched. Her children meant the world to her; she was always there for them. She was involved in their lives, by participating in school functions and cheering them on at their sporting events. You will be missed but not forgotten. We love you Mama. Dotte is survived by her parents: Charles and Dot Plummer; husband: Larry; children: Ty and Devon; daughter in-law: Tina and her granddaughters, Taylor and Tristyn. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm on November 3rd and funeral services will be held at 3PM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation in the memory of Dotte Carr.

"Hearing Dotte's laugh always made me smile. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family beyond measure. She was a beautiful person and will be..."
