May 12, 1942 – September 7, 2010 Dorothy passed away peacefully on the evening of September 7, 2010 at the age of 68 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Dorothy was born in Manitoba in 1942, married her school sweetheart Norm Friesen in 1963 and moved to BC in 1970 where they raised their three children. She will always be remembered as a tireless and selfless giver by her family. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Norm of 47 years and her three children, Ken (Val), Chrystal (Andrew) and DeVonne (Rise) and her seven grand children, Courtney, Jordan, Cameron, Carson, Trevor, Nathan and...

Dorothy passed away peacefully on the evening of September 7, 2010 at the age of 68 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Dorothy was born in Manitoba in 1942, married her school sweetheart Norm Friesen in 1963 and moved to BC in 1970 where they raised their three children. She will always be remembered as a tireless and selfless giver by her family. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Norm of 47 years and her three children, Ken (Val), Chrystal (Andrew) and DeVonne (Rise) and her seven grand children, Courtney, Jordan, Cameron, Carson, Trevor, Nathan and Isabella.

A celebration of her life will take place on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 1:30 pm at Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Brown and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital as well as Dr. Potter and Dr. Quan and staff at Mission's Christine Morrison Hospice for your kindness and caring through this very difficult time in our lives.
