Dorothy Mildred Leighton (nee Lyford)
Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Douglas. Loving mother of Linda Dietrich (Andre), Brenda Rayner (David), Ron (Kim), Bob (Pat) and Donna Bronstine (Andrew). Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and caring "GG" of 11 great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Norma Anderson (Hank) and the extended Leighton family members. Dorothy will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 22, 2012 from 5 – 8 pm at Jerrett Funeral Home (660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough). A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 1 pm in the chapel of Jerrett Funeral Home. Cremation to follow. If desired donations in Dorothy's memory can be made to Markham Stouffville Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

You will never forget your Mother's smile.....the gentleness of her voice...the comfort of her touch...they let you know how much you were loved. You are all so lucky to have such a wonderful Mom.
