Dorothy was born in Chicago IL, to Earl and Louise Walker. She came to faith in Christ at age 13 through the ministry of a close friend and the members of the Grand Crossing Covenant Church. Dorothy played the piano from an early age and studied music in Jr. College, in Chicago as well as at UCLA.

With her parents, she moved to California where she met and married Bob Lundberg of Grand Rapids MI. They raised their three sons in Southern California and were active members in three churches over the years; First Covenant Church of Los Angeles where they were married, First Baptist Church of Alhambra, and First Baptist Church of Huntington Beach-Fountain Valley. Dorothy played the organ, sang, and directed choirs at all three churches. She and Bob were known for hospitality, helping connect people together and to Christ, in their home.

Her career as a public school music teacher spanned four decades in Los Angeles City Schools. She had a special heart for using music to inspire children living in poverty.

In her later years she enjoyed sharing life with the residents at Mt. Miguel Covenant Village in the San Diego area. She continued her characteristic ministry of caring for her friends, neighbors, and family. She is loved and greatly missed. She is now singing to the Lord a new song. Psalm 96:1-3

In place of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to http://www.robbinsnestministries.org/ a ministry to pastors which was dear to Mom's heart and on whose board Jeff serves.
