There just are no words to express how profoundly I will miss Doug's friendship. As a devoted Christian, he lived his life optimistically and with great joy. I will continue to miss our Sunday afternoon telephone chats, his jokes and stalwart reassurances, but I know that he is in a much better place with loved ones who have passed on before him. Thank you, Doug, for being my friend.
