Douglas Eames Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 14, 2017.

Douglas Rex Eames was set free on September 13th, 2017 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Born to Michael Eames and Jane Searle and raised in various places in Idaho.

Douglas was a proud son, brother, husband, father and friend. A man who loved to get his hands dirty; he was passionate about tires, fishing, a good movie, and adrenaline. A superhero among men who lived life to the fullest. Never to be heard complaining, but instead pushing through life's trials and tribulations with strength and a full heart. One of the funniest men we had the pure pleasure of knowing and could fix whatever damn thing you brought him. He left us too soon, but is now a warrior in the skies sending us the inspiration we need to beat to our own drum, be nothing but ourselves, and remain loud and proud.

Preceded in death by his grandfather Rex Taylor, Grandmother Olive Eames, stepfather Kay Searl. Survived by his wife and children, April Eames, Breanna, Taylen, Dawson, and Holland. Grandmother, Garnet Taylor. Father, Michael Eames and Stepmother Diana Eames, mother Jane Searl. Brothers, Cory, Jack, Matthew, and Buddy Eames.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in Doug's name at 1st Federal Bank in Twin Falls.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. September 18, 2017 at Reynolds Funeral Chapel 2466 Addison Ave E. in Twin Falls with a viewing September 17, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm at Reynolds Funeral Chapel.

Our time and in Elko was very short, I bet if we hadn't met the Eames family it may have been even shorter. I remember the first day we all met, at soccer practice, and every practice after that, soon we were hanging out like we all knew each other for years. Our kids became great friends as well as we all did, there are a ton of memories I have with Doug and his family that we will never forget, jumping in his big brown chevy truck to show me some back roads to go shooting and explore. Our night out so the girls could go dancing, such a great night! Having everyone over to carve pumpkins, football games, since both our teams are in the same division this made for great Sunday's!! But most of all his great soul of a person he was! Doug is such a powerful person with his knowledge, his big heart, and love for life! I never came around and didnt feel like I was with a true friend! Our time may have been short but the memories will last a lifetime, Doug will be greatly missed and with all our love from the Hammond Family, God bless you all, and may he forever rest in peace!

Doug was always a nice person who would try to lift everyones spirits. He was there for anyone who needed it whenever they did. He liked to take me and Taylen out to do things to just forget and have fun and it was always great.

April and Family - Doug was a wonderful man whose time on earth was way too short. His time in heaven is infinite and he will be waiting until you see him again. He touched many lives and our family is so grateful to have known him. Cherish the good memories and remember them often. There will be many more good memories to come when you see him again. Time can only lessen the pain but never lessen the love everyone has for him. Take comfort in each other and know that he is still with you. He will be watching over his family in spirit and guiding you.

God Bless You Doug as the wonderful man that touched so many lives. Your family has many friends and family to help you watch over them. Though you are no longer with us, the memories of you remain of how you touched our lives. Thank you for raising such beautiful children and loving such an amazing woman as April. You will be missed! God Bless - DC, Melaunie, Mackenzie, Raegan, & Taryn.
