Doyle Thomas Taylor, age 67, died on Thursday, 11-14-2013, at his home.
He was born in Warren County, TN, on October 21, 1946, retired shop foreman for Giles County School Bus Garage, served in the US Army and US Navy during Vietnam War, he was a member of the Beech Hill Church of Christ and a song leader, preceded in death by his parents, William Bruce and Hassie Pauline Jones Taylor, brother, William Ronnie Taylor, sisters, Mary Novella Dennard and Marsha Wiser.
Visitation will be on Sunday, 11-17-2013, from 5pm to 8pm at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, 11-18-2013, at 11AM at the Carr & Erwin Chapel, with burial in Beech Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Mental Health or Cancer Association.
Survivors are: wife, Kay Taylor of Beech Hill, TN, brothers, Robert Bruce Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, Larry Q. Taylor of Spencer, TN, sisters, Donna Herring of Athens, AL, Bonnie Scott of Caledonia, Miss., several nieces and nephews.
Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Our family will always appreciate Doyel for his caring and steadfastness. Ever thoughtful and compassionate of others and additionally "a good man" as my husband said on learning of his passing.
