Earl Manford Koorndyk Sr., aged 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 14, 2017 while at his home and in the company of his family. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI in1938 to the late Harold and Johanna Koorndyk. Along with his parents, Earl is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Sally [Christy], their infant son, Mark Koorndyk and his son-in-law Jeffery Ligman. He will be lovingly remembered by his 5 children, Lisa (Richard) Thomas, Scott Koorndyk, Tracey Ligman, Guy Koorndyk, Earl (Amy) Koorndyk, Jr.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother Harold (Jean) Koorndyk; sisters, Sandie (Rod) Mosier and Jo (Gene) Dennison as well as many nieces and nephews. Earl was in the U.S. Marines and was proud of his successful businesses, the Leonard Hill Cleaners in Grand Rapids and the Bullseye Party Store in Howard City. He was an avid golfer, bowler and fisherman and enjoyed wintering in Florida. Earl was a committed family man who enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and other family members had a standing date of "Wednesday Night Card Night". Please join Earl's family for a Memorial Service, officiated by Matthew K. Porter, to be held at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Friday May 19, 2017 at 3PM with visitation starting prior at 1PM.
