DECKER, Earl E. – Age 86, of Columbiaville died, Wednesday August 21, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Mr. Decker was born March 3, 1927 in Flint the son of Henry and Louie Decker. Earl served his country during W.W.II with the U.S. Coast Guard. He was an avid card player and sportsman. Surviving are his children, Lenore (Oscar) Flores, Steven Decker, Douglas (Terri) Decker. His dear companion of 30 years Karen Schalau and her children, Tammy (Jim) Ferguson and Tim (Theresa) Schalau; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Brownell, Cathy (Jack) Graham; brother, Russell (Susan) Decker; many nieces and nephews; a host of friends including his best friend, Pete. Mr. Decker was preceded in death by his parents, the mother of his children Marian Manning Decker, sweet granddaughter Trisha, brother, Carl Decker, sister, Maxine LaBeau and nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
