As a young woman, Edith dispatched calls for the newly established Chester Gap Fire Department. She was employed by American Viscose and Old Virginia Packing Company and was a member of Chester Gap Baptist Church.
Edith leaves behind to cherish her memory, four children and their spouses, Betty and Floyd Lilly and Randy and Teresa Williams of Chester Gap; Shirley and Bill Prosser of Inwood, WV; and Greg and Lisa Williams of Front Royal; son-in-law, John Rudacille of Winchester; five special grandchildren, Jim Lilly of Front Royal; Angela Davis and husband, Billy of Browntown; Jake Williams of Newport News; Amy Mawyer and husband, Timmy of Strasburg and their unborn child; and Emily Williams of Blacksburg; three loving great-grandchildren, Lauren Lilly of Culpeper; Logan Davis and Nicholas Davis of Browntown; one great great-child, Anekah Lilly of Culpeper; one sister, Effie Foster of Culpeper; numerous nieces and nephews; and her adored birds, Al and Nicky.

Edith always made sure visitors never left her house hungry and even though she taught us how to cook, no matter how many times we attempted them, we were never able to replicate her dishes.
We will always cherish times we spent with you, especially our Sunday lunches after church, but we are comforted knowing that you are now reunited with your beloved husband and cherished daughter.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Frances Mae Rudacille Scholarship Fund at Chester Gap Baptist Church, 41 Waterfall Rd., Chester Gap, VA 22623.

Dear Williams Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. The few times I spent with the whole Williams clan, I knew Edith was all about family...reminded me of my grandmother. Heaven just gained another angel and I'm sure she's smiling down with Albert and Frances.
