Edna Alice Tutor, age 89, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at her residence in Ecru. She was born March 10, 1928 to Linder D. Sneed and Grace Pitts Sneed. She was a member of Ecru Baptist Church and attended Greatest Mission Baptist Church with her family. She was a graduate of Ecru High School and worked at Munsingwear in New Albany, MS. She enjoyed attending class reunions, being outside and gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Ecru Cemetery with Rev. Steve Parrish officiating. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is assisting the family.
Survivors include one son, Ronald Tutor (Sherry Black); her daughter, Sherry Sledge (Ricky);two grandchildren, Mendy Spears (Tony) and Matt Tutor and two great-grandchildren, Shelby Tutor and Ethan Spears.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd Dewayne Tutor, a great-grandson, Brandon Tyler Spears, and a brother, Roland Sneed.
Pallbearers will be Matt Tutor, Tony Spears, Ethan Spears, Steve Parrish, Dean Wells and Mike Hudson.
