Dee was a 1948 graduate of Helmsburg High School. She attended Indiana University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Business as well as Indiana State University where she earned her Masters of Science in Education with a focus on Business. Dee was a teacher for 31 years, working in many high schools in Hutsonville, Ill., DeMotte, Ind., North Montgomery, Ind., and Kankakee Valley, Ind. Some of the organizations Dee belonged throughout her life include Tri Kappa, Business Professionals of America, Outstanding Educators of America, and Sorosis Club. Dee also managed and volunteered at Opportunity House in Bloomington. She was a member of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.
Dee was an avid golfer and shot her first hole-in-one at the young age of 80. She loved making friends wherever she went and enjoyed telling cute jokes. Dee was excellent with words, precise with language, and dressed sharply and appropriately for every occasion and holiday. One may say she spoiled her grandchildren, but she spoiled her husband, her children, her friends, and brother and sister with her unbelievable boundless love and energy.
Dee is survived by her husband, James Paul Fritch; daughters, Cynthia (Peter) Williams and Cheryl Ashton; granddaughter, Rachel Williams; grandson, Luke Williams; sister, Pat Burns; and brother, Jim (Carol) Teague.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bud Teague; and sister, Mary Grace Russ.
