I never heard the words, "Diddie Breau," spoken without respect and affection. He was one of those people in life who treated you better than you had coming to you. Well beyond family and friends, he would have been an important part of many, many lives. We could never make it look as easy and natural, but I hope we pay it forward as best we can. Holding all in my heart and prayer.

Dear Barbra,Dave,Deb and Sue I mourn for you and to all that Diddie's lives had touched. I have the utmost respect for him and his gentle and kind nature..He would often come down when he saw smoke coming out the stack at the garage to visit me and his buddy Acadia, coming in with a grin and asking " what are we building now ,or...have I got a job for you".... I know I will still catch myself peeking out the garage door window, waiting for him to come down to make our day. Love Dale

Dear Barbara and Kids, even as a mere friend-of-the-old-days it hurts like hell to lose such a man of strength, kindness and good-humor. I'm sure that thousands of people are praying for your consolation. Certainly, God is holding you and the rest of us mourners in His hands. Had anyone sung "Poor Ol' Colaija" on the other side of the Pearly Gates before?

Dear Barbara, Deb, Sue and David
I am so sorry for your loss of this really great guy! The world would be such a better place if there were more folks like him in it. He was such an integral part of our extended Rumford family and was greatly treasured by my parents and the rest of my family. I hope he and my dad and phil are planning a spiritual venture to Four Ponds. What a wonderful man he was!

Barb, So very sorry to hear that Diddie has gone to his glory. I was in Australia till the 29th, did a lot of singing with my nephews, Tom's boys, and a lot of reminiscing. I talked about you, how you loved Mama and us all, how Diddie sang. When I thought about songs to sing I kept thinking of "And we'll shout hallelujah all the way." I can't tell you how often I'd think of it. I hope now it was a prayer. I hope now that Diddie sang hallelujah all the way. Love you. Loie
