1957 Senior Class president of Edison High School. Accordion player extraordinaire. Remember the "oompie shoompie" room? However it was spelled!! I agree, Barb, about his friends. I attended school with Eddie from kindergarten through 12th. He was my date to my first prom. I can still see Eddie grabbing a partner anywhere there was a dance and doing the polka with more energy than anyone should have. Eddie and my husband, Bruce used to compete to see who could do bodily functions the loudest! LOL!Eddie was one in a million.

Memories of a 65-year friendship came flooding back after I read this sad news. The obit might have added, "also survived by hundreds of life-long friends whose lives have been touched by Eddie Emerson." Of those friends, who hasn't an "Eddie" story: a time when he stepped up to help or support; or a project to get friends involved in a vaudeville act, a drill team, a dance band, a sing-a-long, or a fabulous dinner party. You were A one -of-a-kind entertainer and friend, Eddie. I thought you would live forever. I wish we'd had a chance to say goodbye.
