Edward "BJ" Baradziej, born on November 02, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio was called home to be with the Lord, on September 11, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 89. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Martha and Joseph Baradziej, father & mother-in-law Frank and Cecilia Rybicki, sister Eleanor Blados and niece Susan Blados. BJ served in the U.S. Army for 22 years, followed by 16 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed his crossword puzzles every morning and his Sunday comics. He was a great man and will be greatly missed by all. BJ was survived by his loving wife of 55 years of marriage, Patricia Baradziej, sons; Mark Baradziej (Darin), Gary Baradziej (Christina), grandchildren; Kati Baradziej, Jesse Baradziej, Nathan Baradziej, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. A visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Hurricane Relief Fund or St. Vincent de Paul at St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
