I grew up in the neighborhood behind Mr. Mandigo's house.
I would stop and talk with Mr. Mandigo when I had time.
We talked about family, traveling, and everything in life. He taught me a lot, things I still carry with me today.
Mr. Mandigo inspired me to travel today, not tomorrow, you may never have a tomorrow.
in 2012 my wife and I, and our 2 kids sold our home, and decided to travel the US. I missed our conversations, and the ability to share all the places we came across.
I have been gone for 3 years, I had plans to fly in at the end of the month. I was looking forward to sitting on the porch and visiting.
I am so sorry didn't get the chance to visit one more time.
Thank You sir for all you had shared with me. You will be greatly missed.

Dick, I am sorry to hear the news about your father. From what I can see you and he are a lot alike, always caring and helping others. You were very lucky to have spent the last couple of years as you did together and I am sure your Dad loved every minute. You have something very special to carry on.

Saddens me to hear the news. I believe we are somehow related. Dorris and James Ramsey are my Parents. As I remember, they lived down the road from Doc Allerton's stone barn. Good memories. "When a man's work on Earth is done, he is called Home."
