Edward John Pavlick, 89, beloved husband of 67 years to Florence Loretta Pavlick, passed away peacefully at home on September 4, 2017. Edward was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and relocated to Bridgeport, CT in search of work. It was there that he met his beloved Florence at a dance and began their lifetime journey together. Edward and Florence moved to their home in Trumbull in 1965, where they lived for the next 49 years. Prior to his retirement, Ed worked at Rexham in the Carton, Film and Label Division for almost 40 years. Ed was the life of the party and relished spinning Florence around the dance floor as they polkaed. He enjoyed being outside gardening and growing his own vegetables and took great pride in his carpentry skills and working around his home. Ed loved all his dogs, especially his favorite, Muffy. He was very proud to have the cleanest gas grill in the town of Trumbull! May he rest in eternal peace. In addition to his wife Florence, Edward is survived by his sister-in-law Dolores Lucey, nieces Donna Nayden (Bernard Buchheit) and Kimberly Lucey, M.D. (James Schoenadel) and their families. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Ronald, his parents, Anna and John Pavlick and his sister, Joanne Bender. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Christine, Ed and Flo's caregiver of the last several years, as well as Vitas Hospice for making Ed's quality of life the best that it could be in the last few weeks. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 9:00-10:30AM at Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT, immediately followed by an 11:00AM Mass of Christian burial at St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull, CT. Interment to follow.
