Obituary

Edward G. Albrigo, 82, of Solvay, passed away Tuesday December 18th at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Solvay to the late John and Angeline (Carnessali) Albrigo. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a pressman at the Herald Journal and Post Standard for over 30 years before retiring in 1992. Edward was a member of the Tyrol Club of Solvay, the Stanley B Pennock VFW Post 2893, Graphic Communication International Union and longtime, active communicant of St. Cecilia Church. Edward G. Albrigo, 82, of Solvay, passed away Tuesday December 18th at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Solvay to the late John and Angeline (Carnessali) Albrigo. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a pressman at the Herald Journal and Post Standard for over 30 years before retiring in 1992. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Angeline and a brother, Louis.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Emelia Fontana, a daughter; Angela (Scott) Tennant, of Geneva, IL, 3 sons; Edward, Jr (Mary), of Chantilly, VA, Gerald, of Solvay and Peter (Theresa), of Lakeland, 10 grandchildren; Erica, Peter, Jr, Stephen, Christopher, Andrew, Nicole, Sarah, Madeline, Benjamin and Jason, a brother; Frank Angelo (Julia) Albrigo, of Geddes, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:45 am Saturday December 22nd in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 8:30 am at St. Cecilia Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Friday December 21st at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Avenue.
