Bertha, I am so sad to read your letter and hear that Ed has passed. I have so many fond memories of my special Muskegon neighbors. Ed always had a great sense of humor-- often at Bernetta's expense! I am glad we have reconnected these past several months and will write you soon. Sending you thoughts, prayers & hugs from Michigan.

To the family of Mr. Ed,
It is an honor and a privelage to have work with a kind and humble man. Even in the later days of his illness he did not complain or show signs of pain. He will be remembered as a man who truly loved his wife very much. He would look out for her even while being ill. May God bless and keep each of you and Mrs. Berndt we love you.
