Edward M. Corrigan, 81, of Morton Grove passed away on Nov. 13, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Ed was the beloved husband of Nancy G. nee Litsheim; loving father of Mary Ann, Michael (late Sheila), Jacquelyn (David) Grundtvig, Colleen (Robert) Quirk and Jill (Brian) Miller; cherished grandfather of Kathleen, Eddie, Emily, Jack, Nicholas, Thomas, T.J., Maddie, Quinn, Olivia and Kevin; devoted son of the late Edward and Anna Marie Corrigan; dear brother of Harold (Joan), Mary Ann (late Patrick) Nichol, Dolores (late Joe) Dyra and Carole Ann (Tom) Kelly. Ed is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the owner of an insurance agency in the Lincoln Square area for 52 years. Visitation will be Thursday Nov. 17, 2011 from 3-9 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home 2000 E. Northwest Hwy. Arlington Hts. Funeral will be Friday Nov. 18 beginning with prayers at 10:15 AM at the funeral home and proceed to St. James Church 831 N. Arlington Hts. Road for funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery. Contributions to Misericordia Heart of Mercy 6300 N. Ridge Avenue Chicago, IL 60660 appreciated.

I'm gonna miss your dad. Ed was a great man & also a great boss! Yeah we did insurance things but also the small things I will remember. Like cutting the grass, wrapping games, catching rats, and of course..."doing the bank" and he'd give a big "Yippie!" when we balanced! It has been an honor working for him for 21 years....I have so many memories of him. He treated me like his 2nd son.....I'll miss him!
