Cummings, Edward V, 85, was born March 11, 1928, in Wichita, Kansas to Walter and Bertha. Surrounded by his loving family, he was welcomed into our saviors loving arms Saturday March 16, 2013. He Proudly served in the U.S. Navy 3 years. Spent 54 years as a shoe repairman. Retired from Jack Smith's shoe shop at the age of 70. He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Helen, 3 daughters; Susan (Harold), Shirley (Gene), Nancy; 6 grandchildren, Robert (Kim), Chris, Chad, Shauna (Joe), Darla (Tim), Brandi; 5 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jarrod, Serena, Meghan, Gabbigale; brothers, Bill, Jim; sister, Rachel. Preceded in death by brothers, Elton, Elmer; sister, Mary. Services 1 p.m. Wednesday March 20, Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, Burial with U.S. Navy Honors at Resthaven Gardens of Memory to follow.

I know that I haven't been a part of the family long, but that didn't matter jo grandpa! He made me feel loved and welcomed from the first day he met me! I am SO honored and blessed to know him and have had him in my life! He will FOREVER be in my heart and be truly truly missed! My love goes out to the family! Especially Chad!
