Edward Daley, born July 26, 1936 to Jeremiah and Leora (Padget) Daley, passed away March 4, 2014. Edward was a plumber for 45 years and a member of Plumbers Local. He was also a Navy veteran and member of the VFW and Eagles. He was a baseball player and an avid golfer, playing 36 holes a day. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Daley of 56 years; adoptive daughter, Antonina Slate; brothers, Richard (Beryl) Daley, Gordon (Betty) Daley and Michael (Helen) Daley; sister, Beverly Sterling; his nieces and nephews; and best friends, Bruce Dalman and Alfred Smith. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Daley of 56 years; adoptive daughter, Antonina Slate; brothers, Richard (Beryl) Daley, Gordon (Betty) Daley and Michael (Helen) Daley; sister, Beverly Sterling; his nieces and nephews; and best friends, Bruce Dalman and Alfred Smith. Funeral Services, officiated by Pastor Jameson of Calvary Baptist Church, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Calvary Baptist Church, 14769 Wood Road, Lansing, MI 48906, in memory of Edward Daley.
