Obituary

BONHAM -- Edwin Aduddell passed away Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, in Bonham. Service: Committal service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Edwin was a World War II veteran and will receive military honors. Memorial service: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Grand Prairie. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home (Dalworth) in Grand Prairie. Edwin dedicated many years as Scoutmaster to Boy Scout Troop 195 at the First United Methodist Church in Grand Prairie, earning him the distinguished Silver Beaver Award. Memorial service: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Grand Prairie. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home (Dalworth) in Grand Prairie.
Edwin dedicated many years as Scoutmaster to Boy Scout Troop 195 at the First United Methodist Church in Grand Prairie, earning him the distinguished Silver Beaver Award. Ed was a great blessing to all who knew him. He was deeply loved and will be missed.
Ed was preceded in death by his lovely wife of 65 years, Mary Elizabeth, and his youngest child, Vilu Cordelia.
Survivors: He leaves behind five children, Edwin I Aduddell Jr., Mary JaLynn Benton, Phyllis Aduddell, Sharon Holmes and Cynthia Kaleri; brother, Jack Aduddell; sister, Betty Colburn; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
