Eileen Rakes, 78, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away October 9, 2016. Born to George and Violet McMullen , Eileen was raised in South Brunswick, New Jersey and resided in Port St. Lucie for the past 28 years.
Eileen has various jobs including working in South Brunswick as a cafeteria worker/bus driver as well as a factory worker for AMF for many years.
Along with her husband Gene, she was once active in the Moose Lodge in Port St. Lucie.
Eileen lived life to its fullest and had a smile for everyone. She was an avid traveler visiting many places. She loved music and dancing. Eileen loved and enjoyed her cats. She loved history of all types and enjoyed working in her yard with plants and flowers.
Most cherished to Eileen was her family, especially her great granddaughter, Rowan.
Eileen was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy McMullen; and grandson, Jason Schenck.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Gene Rakes; children, Kip Schenck ( wife Mary), of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Kelly Crawford-Miller ( husband Dan), of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Charles Rake ( wife Rachelle), of Port St. Lucie, and Michael Rake ( wife Margaret), of New Egypt, New Jersey; along with many grandchildren and one great granddaughter, Rowan .
