Elaine Sites Bazzle, 93, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Avante at Harrisonburg. She was born on September 7, 1918 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Wilbert A. and Edna Layman Sites. Elaine was raised in the Mountain Valley community and later made her home in Keezletown before moving to Harrisonburg in 1963. She managed Garber's Apartments for Dave Garber on West Market Street for 10 years and retired from Metro Pants in 1980 after 25 years of employment. She is survived by a son, David M. Elaine Sites Bazzle, 93, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Avante at Harrisonburg.

She was born on September 7, 1918 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Wilbert A. and Edna Layman Sites.

Elaine was raised in the Mountain Valley community and later made her home in Keezletown before moving to Harrisonburg in 1963. She managed Garber's Apartments for Dave Garber on West Market Street for 10 years and retired from Metro Pants in 1980 after 25 years of employment.

She is survived by a son, David M. Bazzle of Harrisonburg; a granddaughter, Monica Villegas of Harrisonburg; 3 great-grandchildren, Norma, Junior, and Mauricio; four nieces and two nephews. A friend, Eric Hawkins also survives who made his home with her. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Friends may call at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, January 13, 2012 at Mountain Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Valerie Ritter officiating.
