Eleanor Jean (Sue) Haley, age 75, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Born in Duval County, Florida, she was a resident of the Jacksonville area all of her life. In addition to raising two children, she enjoyed working as a hairdresser for over 50 years, and will certainly be missed by the many happy customers who relied on her. Sue, as she preferred to be called, survived her beloved husband of 40 years, Lee Alvin Haley, Jr. who passed away in October of 2000. Mrs. Haley was a longtime member of Assumption Catholic Church. She loved spending time with family and friends, and regular lunches and shopping trips with her daughter.
Survivors include her son, Glenn A. Haley; daughter, Elizabeth Haley Woodruff and her husband Brian Woodruff.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 at Assumption Catholic Church, located at 2403 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32207 with Rev. Michael Larkin as Celebrant, followed by interment in Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 Main St. N. (St Mary's Gate), Jacksonville, Florida 32206
