Eleanor Mae (Smith) Conde, 93, passed away in the early hours of March 25th, 2015, at the Brookdale Senior Living facility in Manteca, CA, from cardio pulmonary disease and dementia. Eleanor was born in St. Louis, MO on September 13th, 1921. She grew up in Richmond Heights, a suburb of St. Louis, and was married at her home in 1942 to William Raymond Conde, Sr. They remained faithfully and lovingly married for 71 years until Bill's death in January of 2014. She is survived by their 4 sons, William (Jr.), Gary, Daniel and Kevin Conde, and their wives, Shirley, Katy, Vickie & Mary Conde (respectively), as well as 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was additionally preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Guy P. Smith and Lillian J. (Woodbury) Smith, all 5 of her siblings: sisters Marion, Dorothy and Lillian and brothers Everett and Elmer, and her grandson, David Conde.
William and Eleanor lived together briefly in Lake Charles, LA near the end of WWII before moving back to St. Louis, MO. They lived in the St. Louis area until 1969, at which time they moved to Overland Park, KS. In 1978 they moved to Omaha, NE and lived there until Bill's retirement in 1987, at which time they moved to Turlock, CA. Eleanor and Bill were members of the Crossroads Church in Turlock and faithfully attended until Bill's deteriorating health in 2009 necessitated they relocate closer to family in Manteca, CA, at the then Merrill Gardens Assisted Living facility which recently became Brookdale Senior Living. Eleanor was a sweetheart and will be missed dearly. She loved her kids and grandkids and could talk for hours about each and every one of them. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and we are all comforted in knowing she is now at peace with the Lord forevermore.

Dear Family - Your mother and grandmother will be greatly missed. I love her so much. She is in the Arms of Jesus now and with her precious husband, and our grandson. She helped me through the worse time in our lives when our son, David, died. I do not know what I would have done without her, her support, and Faith in Christ. I know this is not good-bye, but see you later. We can all thank Our Almighty Lord for that! Love, Jackie
