Eleanor Taylor, 91 went, peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2016. She was born in Webberville, Michigan on May 17, 1924. She graduated from Webberville High School and Lansing Business University. She retired after 28 years of service from the State of Michigan Department of Public Health (1946 to 1979) and Midway Baptist Church as Church secretary after 24 years, (1991 to 2015).
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents Anan and Cynthia (Wright) Townsend, husband Mahlon Taylor, two sisters Fern (Bill) Hortin, June (John) Jeffery, two brothers Dale (Arla) Townsend and Garrold (Berdine) Townsend. She is survived by son Richard (Beverly) Taylor, grandchildren Nicholas (Jennifer) Taylor, Miranda Taylor, brother Keith (Maxine) Townsend, sister-in-law Rosella Taylor, many nieces and nephews and Church family at Midway Baptist church.
Visitation in Ohio will be Sunday May 8, 2016 at Burcham Jennings Funeral Home, 119 East Main St, Fairborn, OH from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM with services at 5:00 PM. In Michigan visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, MI from noon to 1:00 PM with services at 1:00 PM followed by a graveside at Alchin Farm Cemetery, Webberville, MI. Contributions may be made to Midway Baptist Church Maintenance Fund, 11027 Gerlaugh Rd., Medway, OH, 45341.
