Fondly known as Lisa, she was born on February 16, 1926 to Hans and Elisabeth Link Rossl in Lima, Peru. In the early '40s she moved to New York where she attended Notre Dame High School for Girls, founded by the Sisters of St. Ursula. After graduation, she chose to remain in New York for college where she studied and earned a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology. Also during those college years, she met Walter W. Erdmann, whom she married on September 13, 1948. Their marriage stayed strong for almost 57 years, until his death in February of 2005.
Lisa worked many years for the VA Hospital in East Orange, New Jersey. Lisa and Walter loved to travel, meet new people, see new sights, and visit family. In the early '90s, they chose North Carolina to be their new home. Unsatisfied with retirement life, Lisa took a job with High Point Regional Hospital and was with them for four years and made several friends. After her second retirement and for as long as she was able, she found joy in using her hobby for knitting to graciously provide knitted baby caps for all newborns at HPRH.
Totally unpretentious and always just herself, she was known for her generosity, intelligence, and quick wit. Lisa accepted everyone for exactly who they were.
To celebrate her life, a service will be held at Sechrest of Archdale on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 3:30pm.
