Betty was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend. She loved golf, dancing, bridge and being around her friends and family. Despite being confined to a wheelchair for the last 30 years, Betty remained extremely active with her regular card games, going on any outing offered and getting together with her family for every holiday or special occasion.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at The Forum at Memorial Woods, especially Madeline Goldsmith, for the love and thoughtful care Betty received over the past 12 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bolling Abercrombie and her parents, Jim and Ruby Cheatham. She is survived by her brother, Jim Cheatham; son and daughter-in-law Andy and Pama Abercrombie; son Tony Abercrombie; daughter and son-in-law Ann and Kenneth French.
