Elizabeth "Ms. Betty" Weinnig McMahon went home to heaven on November 15, 2013. She was 91 years of age and the wife of the late Patrick "Mr. Pat" Joseph McMahon Jr. Mother of Maureen M. Sickinger, Marilyn M. Meyer, Patrick J. McMahon, and Lisa M. Ellard. Daughter of the late Catherine "Katie"Gordon Weinnig and Albert Fredilind Weinnig. Sister of the late Albert Joseph Weinnig and James Dennis Weinnig. Survived by sons-in-law Bill M. Sickinger, Barry J. Meyer, grandchildren Steven Patrick Sickinger, Meredith Meyer Bell, Michael McMahon Meyer, Melanie Marie Meyer, Patrick Jordon McMahon, Ryan Preston McMahon, Katherine Ellard Dantin, and Caroline Elizabeth Ellard, great grandchildren Grady Meyer Glenn, Cassandra Madden Bell, and Eva Katherine Dantin. A loving Christian mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, treasured friend, and almost 35 yrs of faithful service as "Administrative Assistant to the Dean" for the past 4 Deans at L.S.U.SCHOOL OF DENTISTRY. A native and resident of New Orleans until Katrina then she relocated to Baton Rouge for the past 8 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, 70006, on Saturday, November 23, 2013. Visitation will be from 9:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. with Mass directly following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Michael's Special School, 1522 Chippewa St., New Orleans, La., 70130.

So sorry for your loss , I worked with Miss Betty many years ago and she was such a kind and pleasant person ; she had a beautiful smile and LSU Dental was so fortunate to have had her at the helm !! Her loyality ,and caring demeanor will be remembered by the generations she served !!
