Elizabeth "Betty" Potts, age 89, longtime resident of Sheboygan, WI and most recently of Green Bay, WI died Tuesday, July 10, 2012. She was born November 10, 1922 in Pottsville, PA to John and Catherine (Sullivan) Harley. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1940. On September 2, 1946 Betty and F. Stanley Potts were united in marriage at St. Patrick's Church in Pottsville, PA. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1997. Elizabeth "Betty" Potts, age 89, longtime resident of Sheboygan, WI and most recently of Green Bay, WI died Tuesday, July 10, 2012.
She was born November 10, 1922 in Pottsville, PA to John and Catherine (Sullivan) Harley. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1940.
On September 2, 1946 Betty and F. Stanley Potts were united in marriage at St. Patrick's Church in Pottsville, PA. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1997.
For over forty years Betty was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish until her relocation to Green Bay to be closer to her daughter after a series of illnesses.
Over the years Betty enjoyed going to lunch with her dear, longtime friend, Phyllis Berger.
She is survived by two sons, Stephen (Dixie) Potts of Elkhart Lake, WI and Thomas (Roberta) Potts of St. Augustine, FL and one daughter, Francine (Roger) Hale of Green Bay, WI; two grandsons, Jeremy and Aaron Potts of Elkhart Lake, WI; two nieces, Colleen (Jeff) Stock of Pottsville, PA and Susan (Denis) Walsh of Houston, TX; and one nephew, James Doyle of Las Vegas, NV.
In addition to her husband, Stanley, she was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Doyle, her brother, John "Jack" Harley, and her sister-in-law, Ruth Koch.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Ballhorn Chapels. Rev. Daniel Lasecki, Pastor at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, will be the officiant. A time of visitation and support will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank Allouez Parkside Village, Unity Hospice, and Woodside Lutheran Home for the respect and tenderness given to our Mother over the last several years.
Ballhorn Chapels and Crematory is assisting the family.
