Elizabeth Takacs (nee Magyar) Quintana, age 94, of Coshocton, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. She was born in Battyan, Hungary on May 20, 1920 to the late Bertalan and Elizabeth (Kondas) Magyar. Elizabeth was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, dancing, playing canasta, quilting, reading, and music; but most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Elizabeth Takacs (nee Magyar) Quintana, age 94, of Coshocton, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. She was born in Battyan, Hungary on May 20, 1920 to the late Bertalan and Elizabeth (Kondas) Magyar.
Elizabeth was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, dancing, playing canasta, quilting, reading, and music; but most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Green of Coshocton; four grandchildren, Lisa Green of Coshocton, William (Nanci) Green of Marietta, Theresa (John) Clark of Nebraska, and Robert Takacs of Arizona; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Urban, Morgan Green, Juliet Takacs and Alexander Takacs; sister, Ethel (Andrew) Torok of Walnut Creek; daughter-n-law, Judy (Warren) Giesen of Arizona; niece, Deborah (Jeff) Szabo; nephew, Eric (Lauren) Torok; and great-nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Takacs, son, Eugene Takacs, and two sisters, Mary Pall and Elvira Szanyi.
According to Elizabeth's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014, at Coshocton County Memory Gardens with Deacon Doug Mould officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 805 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
