Elizabeth Ann {Betty} (Nee Wandrey) Ryan, of St. Therese Care Center in New Hope, MN died peacefully on March 5, 2014. She was born October 12, 1918, in Madison, WI. She was a graduate of Edgewood College and University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Home Economics, and taught Home Economics in Markesan, WI and Madison, WI. Betty married Joseph M. Ryan in Madison; he preceded her in death in 2005. She served as President of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (Diocese of Rockford, IL) and held numerous other parish offices. Elizabeth Ann {Betty} (Nee Wandrey) Ryan, of St. Therese Care Center in New Hope, MN died peacefully on March 5, 2014.

She was born October 12, 1918, in Madison, WI. She was a graduate of Edgewood College and University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Home Economics, and taught Home Economics in Markesan, WI and Madison, WI.

Betty married Joseph M. Ryan in Madison; he preceded her in death in 2005.

She served as President of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (Diocese of Rockford, IL) and held numerous other parish offices.

In addition to her husband, Joe, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Grace Green.

Betty is survived by her children, Patrick (Betsy) Ryan, Sr. Rosemary Ryan MMS, Elizabeth Ryan, Jane (David) Templeton, John (Rita) Ryan, Jim (Rose) Ryan, and Dennis Ryan; grandchildren, Sean (Tina), Abby (Chris), Megan (Vassilis), Kelly, Patrick, Brigid, Kevin (Kassie), Dan (Lindsey), T.J., Molly, Katy, Paulina, Colin, Mike, and Barry; and great-grandchildren, Jack, Stella and Ruby.

Visitation will be on March 7 from 7-8:30 PM with prayer service at Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on March 8, at 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Historic Little Church, 13015 Rockford Road, Plymouth, MN, with a reviewal beginning at 12:30 PM. Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorials to Medical Mission Sisters, St. Therese Residence/Care Center or Catholic Relief Services are preferred.
